Campus Facilities

Advisory Committee on Space

The Advisory Committee on Space (ACS) will act as a recommending body to the Capital Review Committee (CRC) for requests of existing space, new space and/or campus funded leased space at MU. ACS will analyze the utilization of space, especially in the area of instructional activity, to ensure that the facilities at MU are effectively utilized.

ACS will also review all Space Programming Studies conducted by Space Planning and Management, or those conducted by an outside firm, for legitimacy and accuracy, especially when the Space Programming Study will be used to justify new building(s) and or addition(s) at MU. The space responsibilities of the Committee include the Health Sciences Center, Athletics, Education & General (E&G) and Non-Education and General (non-E&G) campus facilities at MU.

Lastly, the ACS will serve as the official coordinating body for prioritizing and selecting general pooled classrooms that require renovation and refurbishment. This responsibility includes classroom maintenance priorities, as well as technology requests and enhancements.
