Campus Facilities Kids Safety Poster Contest

Campus Facilities this fall held its first safety-poster contest for children sponsored by a CF employee. Fourteen kids entered posters focusing on work and home safety issues: eye and hearing protection, trip hazards, fire safety and other issues in the home.

"It's important to let kids kow that their loved-ones will be safe when they're at work, and hopefully, CFers will take the kids' messages to heart and work safely," said Ron Dunkle, CF Safety and Training Coordinator.

Participants were grouped by school grade ranges: Grades 1-3, 4-6 and 7-8. Each participant received a certificate and a Mizzou water bottle; the winner from each group received a Wal-Mart gift card.

Participants will also receive recognition in the year ahead — the posters will be displayed at time-clock locations throughout Campus Facilities and in the gallery below.
