Outages and Closings
- Campus Facilities attempts to minimize the disruption to the MU Campus through careful scheduling of utility outages and road/sidewalk closures. Occasionally, however, situations arise that force an immediate outage or closure.
- Your building's Building Coordinator is informed of any scheduled outages and construction, and has the primary responsibilty for informing building occupants of outages.
- In addition to relying upon the Building Coordinators, Campus Facilities also sends e-mail to reach as many affected people as possible.
Scheduled Outages
Steam Outage Notification - Trowbridge Center
Effective: May 14, 2012 07:30 AM — June 01, 2012 03:00 PMBuildings Affected: Trowbridge Center
A steam outage has been scheduled for Trowbridge Center starting Monday, May 14 at 7:30 a.m. and turned back on at Friday, June 1 at 3:00 p.m. This outage is necessary to allow a contractor to relocate a steam line for the East Campus Chiller project. All steam heat and hot water will be interrupted for the duration of the outage. This outage has been scheduled with the building coordinator to minimize disruptions to the activities in the building. In the interest of good communications however, we are alerting others who may have a need to know about this outage. Thank you for your patience as this necessary work is completed. Steam Outage Notification - General Services Building and Hearnes Multipurpose Building
Effective: May 16, 2012 01:00 PM — May 17, 2012 03:00 PMBuildings Affected: General Services Building and Hearnes Multipurpose Building
A steam outage has been scheduled for Hearnes Multipurpose Building and General Services Building starting Wednesday, May 16 at 1:00 p.m. and turned back on Thursday, May 17 at 3:00 p.m. This outage is necessary to allow Campus Facilities personnel to make repairs in a manhole on the east side of Hearnes Multipurpose Building. This work is a continuation of work started last week during a steam outage. All steam heat and hot water will be interrupted for the duration of the outage. This outage has been scheduled with the building coordinator to minimize disruptions to the activities in the building. In the interest of good communications however, we are alerting others who may have a need to know about this outage. Thank you for your patience as this necessary work is completed. Electric Outage Notification

An electric outage has been scheduled for Tucker Hall on Tuesday, May 22,from 4:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. This outage is necessary to allow Campus Facilities to perform a maintenance inspection for the electrical service to the building. This outage has been scheduled with the building coordinator to minimize disruptions to the activities in the building.
