Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute

The $22.2-million Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute project renovated the Sociology Building and a major portion of Walter Williams Hall and constructed a major addition between the two buildings. The institute's facilities include a technology and research center, a journalism "futures laboratory," public interaction areas, an enlarged journalism library, administrative offices, fellows and graduate studies programs and seminar space. The project was funded by a $31 million gift from the Reynolds Foundation. Construction began December 2005 and was completed Fall 2008.
