Landscape & Grounds Maintenance maintains about 740 acres on the main campus. Activities such as turf maintenance, annual and perennial flower planting, tree and shrub management and integrated pest management account for nearly half of the annual budget. The remainder of the budget is spent on grounds maintenance activities including snow removal, litter collection, equipment replacement, equipment repair, repair of site amenities, and administration.

Contract Landscape Maintenance provides annual grounds-maintenance servcies to auxilliary units on a recharge basis. We have contracts with Residential Life, Energy Management, Parking and Transportation, Missouri Unions and Student Services. However, the University Hospital, A.L. Gustin Golf Course, and Intercollegiate Athletics have their own grounds maintenance staff.
