nce MU Chancellor Richard Wallace last August established the
University of Missouri Botanic Garden, the next step was forming
a committee to guide the Botanic Garden to its potential. Landscape
Services Superintendent Tom Flood and CF Director of Facilities
Management Larry Edwards, under the auspices of Administrative
Services Vice Chancellor Kee Groshong, created the 13-member Botanic
Garden Advisory Committee.
The committee plans to meet each month to advise Landscape Services
on issues pertaining to the mission of the MU Botanic Garden. The
committee members are:
- Larry Edwards, director of Facilities Management
- Tom Flood, superintendent of Landscape Services
- Lori Franz, associate provost
- Terri Gray, director of Corporate Development
- Robin Kennedy, curator - Herbarium, lecturer - botany
- Chris Koukola, assistant to the Chancellor
- Karen Pacheco, board of directors, Powell Gardens
- Steve Pallardy, professor - forestry
- Charles Paxton, Landscape Services assistant superintendent
- Cathy Scroggs, director of Student Life
- Bea Smith, dean of Human Environmental Sciences
- Joan Smith, Landscape Services designer
- Leon Snyder, Jr., associate professor - horticulture
