Contents of building: 300,000 books and records dating from the mid-1800s.

Real life 'Twister': This structure was nearly ripped apart last November by a two-pronged tornado that caused more than $1.5 million in damage. Luckily, there was little damage to the priceless records and archival information from the UM system stored in the building, located east of campus.
