Honors: MU alum and cartoonist Mort Walker

Take a seat with Beetle Bailey: The life-size, bronze sculpture depicts Beetle Bailey seated at a table from "The Shack." Mort Walker created the character of Beetle Bailey while he attended MU in the late 40s, and he often drew his cartoons at the popular hangout, the Shack. The Shack burned down October 31, 1988.
